Sparken is an online IELTS Academic preparation platform. It offers practice tests, study materials, and progress tracking tools designed to help learners improve their IELTS skills.

The Platform is currently free to use. In the future, certain features — such as additional reading tests and a Pro plan — may be offered as paid upgrades. These Terms will be updated accordingly when paid features are introduced.

To use most features of Sparken, you must create an account using either a Google account or an email address and password. By creating an account, you agree to:

You can manage your active sessions and remove signed-in devices at any time from your account settings. You may also permanently delete your account at any time. Deleting your account will remove all your data from our systems and this action is irreversible.

You agree to use Sparken only for its intended purpose of IELTS academic preparation. You must not:

All content on Sparken — including but not limited to practice questions, writing samples, model answers, feedback templates, design, graphics, and code — is owned by or licensed to Sparken and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Platform for personal, non-commercial IELTS preparation purposes only. This licence does not allow you to copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any platform content without our prior written consent.

Your personal data and test results belong to you. We do not claim ownership over content you submit (such as your own written responses), but by submitting content through the Platform, you grant us a limited licence to process and store it in order to deliver the service.

When you complete practice tests or writing exercises on Sparken, your responses and results are stored to enable progress tracking and to deliver the service.

You retain ownership of your own written responses. However, you grant Sparken a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store and process this content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform.

We do not share your individual responses or answers with other users. Aggregated and anonymised data may be used to improve the Platform's features and content quality.

Sparken plans to introduce AI-powered writing assistance features in the future. When these features become available, the following will apply:

Sparken is an independent preparation platform and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to the British Council, IDP, or Cambridge Assessment English — the official administrators of the IELTS examination.

The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sparken and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform.

This includes, without limitation, any loss of data, loss of progress, or damages resulting from reliance on platform content for your IELTS examination preparation.

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your profile information, test results, and associated data will be permanently removed from our systems.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at our discretion if we determine you have violated these Terms of Use, without prior notice and without liability.

We may revise these Terms of Use from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

Your continued use of Sparken after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
